1985 Harley Davidson FXRS-SP

This is the Harley Davidson FXRS-SP model. It is fairly rare, and is in very good condition. Consider that the bike is 27 years old!

I found this at Seacoast Harley Davidson in North Hampton, NH and it has the classic look that I love in a motorcycle.

Kathy looks WAY better on the bike than I do, so I figured I would start with an image of her.

This model was used by the police back in the day and it handles beautifully. The SP edition sits a bit higher, has an increased front end rake and fork length as well as dual front disk brakes. The engine is the 1340cc Evolution. Most of the bike is still stock.

I have a 1985 FXRS-SP I contacted Harley and this what I found out….There were only 161 of this model made. It is a Super Glide sport. Contrary to popular belief it is NOT a low glide or low rider! It is indeed a VERY rare bike! Hold on to it as I am mine! Be safe. R.J.

    Thanks R.J.
I have the original air cleaner cover that lists this bike as a Super Glide II. I think it is a great bike. I have an old article about these bikes somewhere. Information is so hard to come by, and now I know why. They are rarer than hen’s teeth.
